Kristian and Amantia, the children who disappeared in Tenerife, have finally been reunited with their mother, Enke, after eight months of agony. The father of the children, who took them in January from Germany, where they resided, has been arrested in Portugal along with the children, who were in good health. Now Enke only needs to finalize the papers to travel back to Germany.
The mother has suffered for all these months the despair that the father could do something that would hurt them or even end their lives. In fact, the case was very reminiscent of what happened with the girls in Tenerife a few months ago.
An emotional reunion
In the video you can see how the woman leaves the Portuguese courts visibly excited and amidst warm applause from those who have come to show their support. The family of three will leave the country when they manage to gather all the necessary documentation, but for now they will remain in the country while waiting for a flight. They have said goodbye to the cameras, the three melting into a hug.
The father is now in the hands of the Portuguese authorities and will go to court to begin the investigation to determine the sentence he will face for this crime of vicarious violence that has been harshly tried internationally.
The father kidnapped them and threatened the mother
The arrest has been registered after this father, of Albanian origin but living in Germany, traveled to Tenerife with his two children in December 2020, while his partner filed a civil complaint in the German country in January 2021.
The disappearance of the two minors occurred on January 17 in Germany. After months of unsuccessful search in that country, the indications have pointed out that the father and the minors could be in Tenerife since images of the three have been captured on security cameras and it is clear that they traveled to the island.
The mother of the children traveled to Tenerife where she filed several complaints, including one for mistreatment. Faced with this complaint, in the month of May the Investigating Court number 2 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife called him to appear with the minors, a fact that occurred in June and that was when a sentence was handed down and they gave him ten days to deliver the children to their partner, time that expired on June 21. However, the one now arrested before June 21 traveled to Lisbon.
