“Kristaps the Great” award ceremony will be shown throughout LSM.lv / Article / LSM.lv

This year, the National Film Award “Great Kristaps” will be presented for the 32nd time. On Sunday, November 15, viewers will be able to watch the solemn ceremony, in which the awards for the best films and film industry professionals, as well as special jury and cooperation partner awards will be presented in full on the public media portal LSM.lv, but also on LTV1 live from 9.10 pm.

This year, the ceremony will take place not in the usual place – in the cinema, but in the premises of the National Film School of the Latvian Academy of Culture.

The ceremony will be led by actress Inga Alsiņa-Lasmane and actor Āris Matesovičs.

The entire live broadcast of the ceremony will be available exclusively on the LSM.lv portal from 7.30 pm. In the first part of the ceremony, the first winners in the film and profession categories will be announced, while LTV1 will join the live broadcast before announcing the winners in the categories that cause the most intrigue each year – the best feature films, outstanding acting and others.

LSM.lv live viewers will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the National Film Award together with Daira Āboliņš, look behind the scenes of filmmaking and find out how the nominee feels about announcing the winner before the evening’s most anticipated nomination – “Best Feature Film”.

In general, prizes will be awarded 21 categories. Several special awards will also be presented, including the LSM.lv audience award, but the lifetime contribution to Latvian cinema will be honored. cinematographer Kalvi Zalcmani.

Kristaps the Great Festival takes place online and on television this year. From November 12 to 15, viewers will have the opportunity on the online site filmas.lv to watch a retrospective of the award-winning film, premiere and Lifetime Awards winner Kalvis Zalcmanis.

The National Film Award “Kristaps the Great” is organized by the Latvian Cinematographers’ Union in cooperation with the National Cinema Center and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.

The presentation ceremony of the National Film Award “Big Kristaps” – on November 15 at 7.30 pm in LSM.lv live, but at 9.10 pm – also in live LTV1.
