Helsingin Sanomat reports that Krista Kosonen was nominated for Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The scenes were rehearsed with Tom Cruise.
Actress Krista Kosonen was nominated for the role Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One to the movie starring Tom Cruise. Laura Munsterhjelm, who founded the Actors in Scandinavia agency, says Helsingin Sanomat in a recent interview, that he unfortunately missed out on a big role – even though it was close.
– Scenes with, say, Tom Cruise have been done for two days. Two actors, one of whom is Finnish, have rehearsed the scenes, and then you ended up with the other actor because you were too young or too tall or too something for that exact thing.
With the actor’s permission, Munsterhjelm tells Helsingin Sanomat that the Finn in question was Kosonen.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One appeared last year. In addition to Cruise, the film also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg.
Kosonen, who turned 40 last year, praised his support network, which has made it possible to participate in productions carried out abroad. The family or part of it also often travels with them. Kososella and film director Antti J. Jokinen are children born in 2015 and 2022.
Getting into international production requires nerves and perseverance.
– During my career, however, I have made hundreds of audition tapes and only a small percentage of them have gone forward at all. This work is a constant disappointment, the actor told Iltalehte last year.
– In Finland, it might be laughed at if someone gets to present a body abroad. However, that is already a big deal. There would certainly have been a hundred others in line who would have wanted to be bodies, he added.
