BAD KREUZNACH/NEW YORK. (red). 16 singers from the Capriccio Choir had the opportunity to perform as part of a large, international ensemble in the world-famous Carnegie Hall. On the stage were 200 members of choirs from Australia, the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany – and right in the middle was the group from Bad Kreuznach. “The pulse is already beating pretty fast,” remarks choir director Birgit Ensminger-Busse, who had prepared the trip musically and in terms of content. The program included two works by Sir Karl Jenkins. First the instrumental piece “Palladio”, then the “Requiem” followed, a major work by the composer from Wales. On the podium, Jonathan Griffith conducted the choir and orchestra with the usual sovereignty.
