The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has set a deadline for Krishna Life convey confirmation of the company’s restructuring efforts that have been submitted in the Financial Restructuring Plan (RPK). The deadline falls on Monday, 13 February 2023.
OJK has also invited the directors, commissioners and shareholders of Kresna Life to provide confirmation today. The confirmation relates to the policyholder’s approval of the conversion of the policy into a subordinated loan (SOL).
Then, the commitment of capital increase from the shareholders when the consent portion from the policy holders still cannot cover their obligations.
“However, the directors, commissioners and shareholders were not present and have not provided information on developments at the request of the OJK mentioned above,” said Head of the Pension Fund Supervision & Special Supervision of IKNB Department, Moch Muchlasin in a statement received by AFP, Monday (13/2/ 2023).
He said, if Kresna Life did not provide the requested response, the OJK would take firm steps.
“If Kresna Life is unable to provide the requested response, OJK will take strict action in accordance with applicable regulations,” he said.
To note, a number of customers visited the OJK Office at Wisma Mulia 2, South Jakarta today. They have also been accepted by the OJK.
“Today, OJK has received several policyholders who have come to the OJK office to receive their complaints as part of efforts to protect consumers/policyholders,” he said.
