Kremlin awaits Lukashenka’s visit to annexed Crimea

Kremlin expects Lukashenka to come to annexed Crimea

Dmitry Peskov hopes that Alexander Lukashenko will visit the peninsula annexed by Russia.

The Kremlin expects that the formal head of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, will arrive in the annexed Crimea. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov on the air of the Russian TV channel on Saturday, July 3.

“Are we waiting for the President of Belarus in Crimea? Of course, we are,” said Peskov.

Note that Belarus has not officially recognized the annexation of Crimea by Russia, but Lukashenko has repeatedly said since 2014 that he considers Crimea to be de facto Russian.

Recall that earlier Lukashenka completely closed the border with Ukraine… “Sleeping terrorist cells” were allegedly revealed in Belarus, in which Germany, Ukraine, the USA, Poland and Lithuania are involved, said Alexander Lukashenko.

In turn in Kiev called Lukashenka’s accusations absurd… Kiev categorically rejects the reproach of Alexander Lukashenko about the alleged supply of weapons from Ukraine.
