Krefeld For the second time this season, Stefan Krämer defended his team. Unlike after the defeat against SV Meppen, he gave his team at least part of the blame for the bitter bankruptcy this time because of the disastrous defensive behavior in the first round against Wiesbaden.

It is an honor for Krämer that he tries to act as a protective shield again and again.

Viewed soberly, the bankruptcy against Wiesbaden is mainly due to unbelievable mistakes in defense behavior. The KFC presented itself not suitable for the third division against a team that was itself in a crisis of meaning – at least until the game in Düsseldorf. The KFC has so far not been able to call up its existing qualities this season. Even the success in Zwickau hung by a thread after a weak final quarter of an hour.

The spirit of optimism is gone again. Now it is up to Krämer and his team to get out of this mess together. In view of the long list of injuries, it is certainly not an easy undertaking. At least nobody at the KFC needs to dream of higher tasks at the moment. The game in Duisburg will be a sporting yardstick – and a character test for the team.
