The Krefeld Penguins have agreed on a commitment with defender Philipp Mass. The 20-year-old is joining Mihails Svarinskis’ team with immediate effect.
“I am very happy about the chance I get from the Krefeld Pinguinen and of course I am looking forward to proving myself for the first time in the PENNY DEL, a top league in Europe. I learned a lot in Salzburg, but now I have to adapt and improve my game physically. Everything goes faster here and you want to minimize errors, ”says the Heidelberg native.
Most recently, Mass went through Salzburg’s youth teams and gained experience in the Alps Hockey League, where he scored one goal and four assists in 13 games this season.
The 1.84-meter-tall left-handed shooter has also gained experience in the DNL with the young eagles Mannheim and in North American junior leagues and can look back on international appearances with the U20 national team.
