“Of course, that’s a real hit to start with,” says circle runner and women’s warden Michelle Wloka from SSV Gartenstadt. “We’re looking forward to the derby in our home hall.” She managed to find a successor to coach Karsten Schmitz in Stephan Nocke, who is also the goalkeeper coach for Bundesliga club HSG Bad Wildungen Vipers. The climber only has to record one departure, Nicole Detges has ended her career. However, there were two new ones. On the one hand, Christina Ristau, who last played for Rheydter TV in the upper league, has joined the promoted team. The 28-year-old can be used on the right wing as well as in the backcourt.

The second newcomer played for Fortuna Düsseldorf II before her handball break: Laura Wolf is left-handed and is a shooter. The 24-year-old plays in the right backcourt and won the Lower Rhine Championship as a youth player at JSG TVK/ART, a syndicate of TV Korschenbroich and ART Düsseldorf.

At Adler Königshof, Joshua Wiesehahn takes over the coaching position for Ingo Häußler, who switched to the third division club 1. FC Köln after three years. Wiesehahn comes from the association league club VfB Homberg. In terms of personnel, the new coach has to do without four players from last season’s squad. Denise Wussow (end of career), Lina Praest (target unknown), Giulia Kempkens and Lea Stroh (Adler Königshof II) will no longer appear for the Oberliga team. Wiesehahn can look forward to five new players. Circle player Karla Hannen, who played a few times in the Oberliga team last season, played for the Perspective team last season. Eileen Behrens, who was last active with the VfB Homberg association league, is currently working on her comeback after a shoulder injury and can be used on the outside. Isabell Deckner is also an outside player who has ended her handball break and has already been able to prove her qualities in Rheinhausen, Walsum and most recently in Uerdingen. In addition, two young players in Anika Rosenboom and Pia Schmidt could be signed for the backcourt, the duo enjoyed a good handball training in Wülfrath.
