Krefeld –
On Thursday evening (June 11th), a man stabbed a Duisburg man several times with a knife and seriously injured him. The perpetrator tried to escape.
- A knife attack occurred at the Krefeld-Linn train station on Thursday (June 11).
- A Duisburg man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
- The police are now investigating attempted death.
Krefeld: Man stabbed Duisburg several times with a knife
Around 11 p.m. two Duisburg (33 and 37 years old) met two men they knew (46 and 30 years old) in a remote area near the sidings of the Linner train station.
There they got into an argument that took a brutal turn. The 46-year-old suspect stabbed the 33-year-old victim repeatedly and suddenly in the back with a knife.

The other two men intervened immediately and were able to separate the attacker from the victim.
Severely injured, the victim and his companion left for Paul-Hübner-Straße, where their car was parked.
The 37-year-old informed the rescue service, who took the 33-year-old to a hospital, where he is still being treated. At times the man was in mortal danger.
Krefeld: Duisburg police provide suspects
The suspect and his companion fled to their car and drove away.
As part of the immediately initiated search, they could be placed on Eschenstrasse / Fuchsstrasse in Duisburg.
A knife was seized from the 46-year-old attacker. It is now being examined for traces. The motive for the crime is still being determined. The suspect was arrested that night.
Knife attack: investigation into attempted manslaughter
The man with German citizenship has appeared in the past among other things because of violations of the Narcotics Act.

After the decision of the public prosecutor’s office in Krefeld, he was brought before the judge today. The latter ordered custody against him for the allegation of attempted manslaughter. The investigation is ongoing. (sdm)
