At TVL Sportcafé, chairman Peter Croonen of KRC Genk responded to the incident. “He is someone who lives and works for our club with heart and soul. And he really had an incredible sense of injustice,” he says.
According to Croonen, his action was with the right intention and that is why the chairman supports him 300 percent.
According to Croonen, De Condé and Vertonghen have also had a conversation about the incident. He refers to the extreme stress that De Condé was under during the summer mercato.
Croonen does not want to say anything about the content of the conversation, but he does add that there was a lot of respect between both parties.
