Kraven the Hunter, Sony’s upcoming Marvel movie, is set to become the studio’s first R-rated Marvel movie. The movie features tons of gruesome kills, as Kraven takes out poachers and mercenaries. Sony presented an exclusive two-minute sizzle reel at CinemaCon 2023, which featured Russell Crowe as the Russian father of Taylor-Johnson’s Sergei Kravinoff. The end of the footage unveiled Alessandro Nivola as Rhino. Whether Kraven will be interconnected with Sony’s larger Spider-Man franchise remains to be seen.
Kraven the Hunter is one of Marvel’s most iconic and notorious anti-heroes. He considers himself to be the greatest hunter in the world and sees the wall-crawler as the ultimate prey to catch. The cast also includes Ariana DeBose as Calypso and Fred Hechinger as Dmitri Smerdyakov/ Chameleon, Kraven’s half-brother in the comics. J.C.
