Russia must approve the proposals sent to it on peace plan to end the war in Donbass. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the trilateral contact group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbass Leonid Kravchuk in a comment “Channel 5” March 12.
According to him, such proposals have already been sent to the Russian Federation for approval.
“The plan was developed by Germany, France, finalized by Ukraine. And now it is being studied in Russia. That is, there is no plan. It is a proposal. For the plan to exist, Russia must sign it under it. Because we are not at war with France or with Germany. , but with Russia, “- said Kravchuk.
In 2014, Russia occupied Crimea and launched an armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. The fighting is between the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the one hand and the Russian army and Russian-backed militants who control parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions on the other. Officially, the Russian Federation does not recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite the facts and evidence presented by Ukraine.
Negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Donbass are being held in the trilateral contact group in Minsk (Ukraine, Russia, OSCE), as well as in the Normandy format – with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia.
