Kravchenok / Bella reaches the final of the “King of the Court”

In a duet with Australian Phoebe Bell, Australian Kravchenok overcame the semifinals of the King of the Court on Friday.

Kravchenok and Bella won two points in the first round of the semi-finals, but earned one point in the second half on the “king” side.

At the end of the round, the Latvian / Australian duo ranked third with five points. First place went to the German couple Sandra Itlingere and Isabel Schneider. The Italian duo Marta Menegati / Valentina Gotardi, who took the last place, withdrew from the competition.

Kravčenoka and Bella started the second round with two points. It was then scored in three tracks, finishing in third place.

This time the best result with nine points was achieved by the Norwegian duo Suniva Helanna-Hansen / Emilie Olimstad, but the last place winners from Japan were Miki Ish and Sajaka Mizoe.

In the third round, Kravčenoka and Bella took the lead with five points, accumulating as many as the two opposing pairs together.

Later, they overtook the Germans, but in the last match, with the two duets scoring 11 points, Kravčenoka and Bella scored in the final as the group winners.

Live after the match, Kravchenok answered the question about the task in this tournament and said that he wanted to enjoy the tournament.

The Germans also made it to the finals, with the next two pairs taking part in the Play-in for one more place in the finals.

The final will take place on Saturday.

It has already been reported that Mikhail Samoilov also entered the semi-finals of the King of the Court in a duet with Slovenian Nejts Zemlak on Thursday, which will take place on Friday at 20:50 Latvian time.

It has already been reported that Latvian beach volleyball player Aleksandrs Samoilovs did not win the first round of the group tournament in a duet with the Austrian Moritz Pristauc on Thursday.

Edgars Točs and Norwegian Matthias Berntsen unsuccessfully played in the play-offs and did not enter the next round of the competition.

The format of the King of the Court tournament is very different from the usual play-out procedures in beach volleyball tournaments. The competition starts with a qualifier, followed by a group tournament, a semi-final with ten teams and a five-team final.

In each phase of the tournament, the duos are divided into groups of five and there is a place in the third round. The pair play a 15-minute match in which the losers leave the court. The duo who scored in the last game continues to play on the court until they lose a point. One side of the playing field is called the “royal” side. The duo playing on this side takes the serve, thus gaining a slight advantage. After 15 minutes, the points scored by the pairs are collected and the ones with the least points do not reach the next round.
