The reason for the closure is road work in Jens Wilhelmsens gate, or county road 108.
Road work starts tomorrow, Wednesday 4 May. On Tuesday and Wednesday, one lane will be closed:
– We must redirect traffic when the tunnel on county road 108 is closed. Signs will be set up directing traffic via county road 451 on the stretch between Værstebrua and Kråkerøy church, says Per Lyder Nyland, construction manager for Viken county municipality, in a press release.
Traffic from Kråkerøy in the direction of Værstebrua can run as normal, while cars in the opposite direction must be redirected.
In the period 9 to 16 May, the tunnel will be completely closed to traffic.
The detour will go from Værstebrua via Selma Nygrens vei, Glomboveien and Enhusveien to Kråkerøy church.

The closure is due to the county road in the area west of the tunnel having to be temporarily rerouted in connection with the construction of Værstetorvet Syd.
– Here, among other things, a new roundabout will be built, where we are the client, says Dag Ivar Myrene, project manager infrastructure for Værste AS in the press release.
In other words, the job is not to be done in the tunnel itself, but you will still have to completely and partially close it to traffic during the period.
