All four division leaders did not emerge unscathed from last week’s games. The Boston Bruins (2-1-0) suffered their first home loss of the season, the Carolina Hurricanes had two slips (1-2-0), the Dallas Stars (2-0-1) dropped a point and the Vegas Golden Knights (1-1-0) their two. Their pursuers, the Toronto Maple Leafs (3-1-0), New Jersey Devils (2-0-0), Winnipeg Jets (3-1-0) and Los Angeles Kings (3-0-0) made up ground. .
Five climbers:
1. Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken stretched out their tentacles and picked up six points as guests of the Ottawa Senators (8-4), Montreal Canadiens (4-0) and Buffalo Sabers (4-3). In addition, they were the only team so far this season to inflict a home defeat on the Bruins (3-0) in regular time and are now undefeated since the turn of the year (7-0-0).
Guarded on both shutouts Martin Jones (21 saves in Montreal, 27 saves in Boston) the Kraken’s case. defender Vince Dunn (2 goals, 4 assists) scored in all four games. How He Came Center Matty Beniers (3 goals, 3 assists), right winger Jordan Eberle (2 goals, 4 assists) and left winger Andre Burakovsky (1 goal, 5 assists) to six scorer points.
Over the next seven days, the Kraken alternately compete away and on their own ice. Guest appearances with the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers are followed by home appearances against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Devils.

2. Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks dropped to last place in the league, but they always believed in themselves and that there would be a turn for the better. Last week they made good on promises of improvement by sending the Arizona Coyotes (2-0), Calgary Flames (4-3 OT) and Colorado Avalanche (3-2) home with losses.
left winger Luke Reichel (1 goal, 2 assists) and the center Sam Lafferty (1 Tor, 2 Assists) und Max Domi (1 goal, 2 assists) lead Chicago’s scoring squad. Reichel scored his first NHL goal against the Flames.
From the Blackhawks’ point of view, things can continue like this when they receive the Kraken and Sabers next week and pay a visit to the Philadelphia Flyers.

3. Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings didn’t lose a single point. They took full points from their encounters with the Golden Knights (5-1), Oilers (6-3) and San Jose Sharks (4-3) and continued their quest for first place in the Pacific Division.
The outstanding player of the Kings was the Swiss Kevin Fiala (5 goals, 2 assists), who was able to further extend his lead in the team’s internal scorer ranking. 15 players were involved in the Californians’ 15 goals.
Next week, the Kings are expecting the Devils and the Stars in the Crypto.com Arena at home.

4. Calgary Flames
After their home win against the New York Islanders (4:1), the Calgary Flames went on a journey and also knew how to ignite abroad. Unbeaten in regulation time, they took four points from encounters with the Blackhawks (3:4 OT) and St. Louis Blues (3:4 OT, 4:1).
Center kept the fire burning Nazem Kadri (2 goals, 2 assists), who was able to record something countable in every appearance. The right winger collected the most points in the Flames Tyler Toffoli (5 Assists).
The Flames are looking to build on their four-game point streak as guests of the Stars and Nashville Predators and at home against the Avalanche.

5. Winnipeg Jets
First, the Winnipeg Jets extended their winning streak to five wins with home wins against the Lightning (4-2) and Vancouver Canucks (7-4). A crash landing followed with seven goals conceded at the Detroit Red Wings (5:7), but the Jets took off again in Buffalo (4:2).
left winger Kyle Connor (5 goals, 3 assists) combined the concentrated offensive power as a five-time executor. The wingers collected just one point less than the 26-year-old Pierre-Luc Dubois (2 Tore, 5 Assists) und Nikolaj Ehlers (2 Tore, 5 Assists).
Over the next seven days, the jets will fly first to the Pittsburgh Penguins, then home where the Coyotes await, and then east Canada to the Maple Leafs and Canadiens.

Five relegated:
1. Arizona Coyotes
The Arizona Coyotes’ hunt for points was again unsuccessful. Against the Blackhawks (0:2), Penguins (1:4), Sharks (2:4) and Senators (3:4) they conceded their defeats four to seven in a row and slipped to the top with a point win rate of 37.8 percent fourth from bottom in the league.
As the Coyotes’ most accurate player, Center rose Barrett Hayton (3 goals) out. The 22-year-old forward has scored in six of the Coyotes’ last eight appearances (4 goals, 5 assists) and has proven to be their most prolific caller in the desert.
After stints with the Minnesota Wild and Jets, the Coyotes are catching prey in home games against the Red Wings and Washington Capitals.
2. Vancouver Canucks
For the Vancouver Canucks, qualifying for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Western Conference is getting more and more in the distance. After the defeats at the Jets (4:7), Penguins (4:5) and Lightning (4:5) they are already ten points short of the second wild card place. A comic hero like Johnny Canuck would be just right for them in this situation.
No superpowers, but at least their offensive qualities left defenders Quinn Hughes (2 Tore, 3 Assists) und Center JT Miller (2 goals, 3 assists) with five scorer points each. But what good are these when the Canucks concede the most goals per game (5.67 as well as Anaheim Ducks)?
The Canucks conclude their current away tour with appearances at the Florida Panthers and in Carolina. Back home, they receive the Lightning.
3. New York Islanders
The New York Islanders had to settle for a small fish last week. They caught a point against the Stars (1-2 SO) at Elmont’s UBS Arena. Previously in Calgary (1: 4) and at home against the Wild (1: 3), their net had remained empty.
defender Scott Mayfield (1 goal, 1 assist) was the only Islanders player to have twice been credited as a scorer on match sheets.
The Islanders are hoping for more short-term success when they welcome the Canadiens, Capitals and Bruins on their own ice next week and pay a visit to the Sabers.
4. Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals have neglected their affairs of government somewhat over the past seven days, losing to both the Predators (2-3) and the Flyers (3-5). A hard-fought double point win for the Capitals, at least against the Columbus Blue Jackets (1-0).
The Capitals’ powerplay formations were surprisingly ineffective. Not only did they not score a goal (0.0 percent) in six outnumbered situations, they even allowed one in their own outnumbered situation.
Over the next seven days, the Capitals will play the Flyers, Islanders, Wild and Coyotes.
5. Columbus Blue Jackets
With a point win rate of 31.7 percent, the Columbus Blue Jackets took over the Red Lantern as the bottom of the league-wide ranking. In the four games against the Hurricanes (4:3 SO, 2:6), Capitals (0:1) and Lightning (3:6), the Blue Jackets were only able to strike once.
Half of their goals came from the right winger Kirill Marchenko (4 goals), her best preparer was left winger Patrick Laine (3 assists), but overall, the Blue Jackets rarely spread fear and terror in the opposing zone.
Now the anxious question is whether the Blue Jackets will lose bottom of the table after the games in Detroit, on their own ice against the Rangers, in Nashville and at home against the Ducks.
