On Monday evening, two women aged between 20 and 60 were found dead in a house in Kragerø. Police moved after a report of concern from someone who couldn’t get hold of one of the dead.
Kragerø Police Station Chief Øystein Skottmyr informs Dagbladet that the two women are in a familial relationship, but does not wish to elaborate further.
– There is nothing to indicate that anything criminal happened, but we won’t know the cause until we have information from the crime technicians. Therefore, it is treated as a suspicious death, says Skottmyr.
It was on Monday evening at 11pm that the emergency services went to a house in Levangsheia in Kragerø. Two women were found lifeless at the scene and were pronounced dead shortly after by health personnel.
Skottmyr won’t say how long the two women may have been dead.
Skottmyr explains to NTB that the pair are Norwegian citizens and not previously known to the police.
– The police are continuing their investigation on the spot and are waiting for a forensic report, says the head of the police station.
Police do not currently know anything about the cause of death and will not be able to say anything until an autopsy report is available. It’s unclear when a preliminary autopsy report will be ready.
