Sunday ends with good news for fans of the Hi-Fi Rush. Krafton, the owner of PUBG, announced the acquisition of Tango Gameworks along with Xbox. According to the statement, the companies are working together to ensure smooth trading.
Originally, Tango Gameworks was a Bethesda studio, which ended up being bought by Microsoft in a US$7.5 billion deal in 2021. Together with the studio, Microsoft took over the The Evil franchises Within, Ghostwire Tokyo, as well as the renowned Hi -Fi. Rush, but in 2023 Xbox owner ended up naming the studio closing in the process of restructuring.
In a note, Krafton explains:
“This merger reinforces Krafton’s commitment to expanding its global presence and enhancing its portfolio of innovative, high-quality content. The addition of Tango Gameworks represents a strategic alignment with Krafton’s mission to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment.”
According to publisher PUBG, the build does not affect the availability of previous releases, which are still available where they are. Details of the deal are still being determined. For now, the focus of the announcement is on Hi-Fi Rush and expanding the franchise, but other Tango Gameworks properties are also expected to be part of the acquisition package.
