General Election Commissions (KPU) RI has carried out the drawing of participant serial numbers 2024 Election. The KPU denied that there was any arrangement in the drawing of the serial numbers.
“There is no (setting),” said Indonesian KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy’ari after determining the serial numbers of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, at the KPU office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (14/11/2023).
It is assumed that this arrangement exists because the supporters of the candidate pair have brought the attributes according to the serial number received. This attribute is issued when a pair of candidates has received their respective serial numbers.
Hasyim said that the drawing process was taking place as it was. Hasyim said that each pair of candidates was also given the opportunity to take a queue number to choose a lottery number.
“There are only 1, 2 and 3. If then each of us takes it, we all watch together, right, taking the queue, each after getting in line takes their own choice,” he explained.
“So it can’t be predicted,” he continued.
It is known that the KPU drew serial numbers for the 2024 presidential election participants. Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) got serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka got serial number 2, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md got serial number 3.
The serial number drawing was attended by the presidential and vice presidential candidates as well as the leaders and ranks of the supporting political parties. Apart from that, Bawaslu, DKPP and other related stakeholders were also present.
