entertainment">The first F1 broadcast will take place on March 10, around the test days at the Bahrain circuit. A week later, the first Grand Prix will take place there. In addition to regular Dutch analysts Christijan Albers, Giedo van der Garde and Tom Coronel, international stars Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard and Tom Kristensen will also give their views on the matches. Stéphane Kox reports from the paddock.

entertainment">“We want to give the viewer the entire Formula 1 story, with a critical eye where necessary,” says Marco Zwaneveld, Head of Sports Viaplay Netherlands. “Thanks to the collaboration between the teams from different Viaplay countries, we are in more places with more people. This allows us to tell the stories even better. From the battle, strategy and technique to the money, physical performance and of course everything about Max Verstappen. We are on top of it.”

entertainment">Viaplay promises 12 hours of live television per Grand Prix weekend. In total, there are 22 races, starting in Bahrain and ending in Abu Dhabi. In addition to sports such as Formula 1, PDC Darts and the Bundesliga, thirty original films and series from the streaming service will appear. Later in the year, about sixty original productions will be added. Viaplay also invests in Dutch originals. Existing titles from movie studios MGM and Sony appear, such as Men in Black on Tomb Raider.

entertainment">Crashes, clashes, brilliant duels on the track and war language outside. The heroic title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton is one of the highlights in Formula 1 history.
