Jakarta –
Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) accused East Java DPRD Vice President (Waka DPRD Jatim) Old Sahat Simandjuntak in a manual capture operation (OTT) in Surabaya. During OTT, the KPK found billions of rupees in cash.
“So far this is initial proof of the amount of money that has been received for billions of rupees,” KPK reporting unit chief Ali Fikri told reporters on Thursday (12/15/2022).
Ali explained that the money consisted of rupee denominations and foreign currencies. Furthermore, the KPK also seized documents allegedly related to this case.
“The KPK team also obtained evidence in the form of denominations of rupees and foreign currencies,” Ali said.
However, Ali could not confirm the amount of money in this case. He said that up until now the KPK was still clarifying these findings to the parties that had been compensated by OTT.
“The amount of the alleged bribes received is currently still being clarified to the parties,” he said.
“Developments will be broadcast further,” Ali concluded.

Ali said the four would be scrutinized more thoroughly to ensure their involvement in the OTT. So, at this stage the KPK will conclude whether or not this case can be moved to the investigation stage.
“Examination to determine if there is an alleged criminal incident and find a party that can be legally represented so that it is increased in the investigative process,” Ali explained.
Ali made sure to keep broadcasting the latest OTT developments that trapped Sahat. The KPK has 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of the four people secured.
