KPK Searches for 2018 Budget Documents

Jakarta

Member of DPRD DKI Jakarta from F-PDIP Cinta Mega admits that her office was searched by the KPK. Cinta Mega said KPK investigators wanted to find documents discussing the budget in 2018.

“Yes, he is looking for data on past discussion documents,” Cinta Mega told reporters, Wednesday (18/1/2023).

“Documents for discussing the 2018 budget,” he added.

Cinta said that from a number of items that were searched, investigators finally took documents related to Commission C or the Financial Affairs Commission of the DPRD DKI Jakarta.

“Then the data is taken from Commission C,” he explained.

Cinta believes that there are no documents related to this case in her office. Even so, he admitted that he was ready to be questioned by investigators if needed.

“God willing, there are no documents related to this case. We DPRD do not know anything about official expenditures. I will assist the KPK when information is needed,” he said.

Previously, Chairman of the PDIP DPRD DKI Jakarta faction, Gembong Warsono, confirmed that the KPK investigators had also conducted a search of his faction. Gembong said that the room that was searched by the PDIP faction was only the office of DKI Jakarta DPRD member Cinta Mega.

“Floor 8 in Mrs. Cinta Mega’s room, yes. Not the room of the faction leader,” said Gembong Warsono to reporters, Wednesday (18/1/2023).

For your information, the PDIP faction room is on the 8th floor of the DPRD DKI Jakarta building. Meanwhile, Cinta Mega is a member of Commission C DPRD DKI Jakarta.

Even so, Gembong did not know in detail what items the KPK investigators were carrying. Because he was not at the location when the search took place.

“First, I didn’t go to the office yesterday, so yesterday I got information from the secretary, right? In the afternoon, around 6 o’clock I got the information. I asked who was examined, Mrs. Cinta’s room. That’s it, you know, but what do we bring? I don’t know, I’m not in the office either. Until that evening, it was until 10 o’clock,” he said.

The member of Commission A admitted that he did not know anything about Cinta Mega’s connection with the alleged corruption case being investigated by the KPK. However, Gembong said that Cinta Mega had sat as a member of the board since the 2014-2019 period.
