The KPK answered the concerns of the General Chair of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) related to the condition of Lukas Enembe which is called sickly. KPK judged that his party only referred to the medical team’s information to ensure health conditions Luke Enembe.
“Of course it is the medical team who can certify a person’s health and this is what the KPK holds,” said Head of KPK Reporting Unit Ali Fikri when contacted, Thursday (12/1/2023).
Lukas Enembe is one of the Democratic Party cadres from the DPP Papua. Lukas Enembe was arrested in Papua on Tuesday (10/1) in connection with alleged bribes and gratuities worth IDR 11 billion.
He was then flown to Jakarta and underwent a medical examination at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. Ali said that after undergoing a series of medical examinations, the medical team stated that Lukas Enembe was in good health.
“The medical team stated that the person concerned could be examined in order to complete the legal process. We comply with all applicable legal procedures,” said Ali.
Lukas Enembe has been taken from the RSPAD to the KPK building. Lukas Enembe began to undergo investigation as a suspect in the bribery and gratuity case for infrastructure projects.
AHY Mentioned Luke Enembe’s Health
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY was previously concerned about the arrest of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. AHY is concerned about the arrest of Lukas Enembe because Enembe is said to be ill.
“From the start we wanted to make sure that every person, every citizen has the right to seek justice for their own country. Therefore, we also give that space to Lukas Enembe, of course we are concerned and at the same time offer prayers and support,” AHY said at the Democratic Party DPP office, Central Jakarta.
AHY hopes that Lukas Enembe can be given health so that he can undergo the legal process properly. According to him, Lukas Enembe also needs to be given space to recover his health.
