FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Mosso, who was caught in a sting operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), finally arrived at the KPK building, Monday evening at around 20.06 WIB.
Yan Piet Mosso and other parties were flown to Jakarta after the OTT occurred in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua, last Sunday (12/11).
When he arrived at the KPK building, Yan Piet Mosso was seen wearing a black jacket, hat and mask. When he entered the building, Yan Piet chose to remain silent towards the media crew.
Head of the KPK news department, Ali Fikri, conveyed the OTT in Sorong, Southwest Papua related to conditioning on the findings of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) of Southwest Papua Province. The KPK arrested the Acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Mosso and four other people.
“On suspicion of corruption in conditioning the findings in the BPK’s audit with a specific objective for the Southwest Papua Province region for the 2023 fiscal year,” said Ali Fikri in his statement, Monday (13/11).
Ali said that the KPK enforcement team arrested a total of five people in this silent operation. Three of them are Sorong Regency Government officials, the other two are BPK examiners representing Southwest Papua Province.
“So far the KPK team has arrested several people, including three Sorong Regency officials and two BPK inspectors representing Southwest Papua Province,” said Ali.
However, the Corruption Eradication Commission has not provided information regarding the evidence found in the OTT in question.
“The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) team is still investigating and we will immediately inform you of the developments,” stressed Ali.
