KPK Opens Opportunities to Investigate the Alleged Flow of Social Minister Juliari’s Money to PDIP

JAKARTA – Corruption Eradication Commission ( NCP ) opens the opportunity to investigate whether or not there is a flow of bribes from the suspect Juliari Peter Batubara as the Minister of Social Affairs to the DPP PDIP .

KPK Chairman Commissioner General Police Firli Bahuri stated that investigators would carry out a number of developments on the alleged bribery case of the provision of social assistance packages for handling Covid-19 at the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in 2020 with a value of around Rp.5.9 trillion with a total of 272 contracts and carried out with 2 periods. Firli emphasized that the alleged bribery for Juliari Peter Batubara was divided into two parts.

First, Rp8.2 billion managed by Eko and Shelvy N as the Secretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs as well as Juliari’s confidant. The ink figure is part of the total fee of Rp. 12 billion associated with the implementation of the first period of basic food assistance packages.

Rp12 billion was first handed over by the suspected bribe recipient Matheus Joko Santoso as the Ministry of Social (Kemensos) commitment maker (PPK) and owner of PT Rajawali Parama Indonesia (RPI) to Juliari through Adi Wahyono as PPK of the Ministry of Social Affairs as well as Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs Secretariat General . From Adi, Rp. 8.2 billion was managed by Eko and Shelvy.

Second, an amount of around Rp.8.8 billion which is also suspected to be used for Juliari’s needs. This money is for the second period of the implementation of the basic food social assistance packages that were collected from October to December 2020. If added up, the total for Juliari is IDR 17 billion.

Firli revealed that the total figure for Juliari was different from the amount of money confiscated during the arrest operation (OTT), which was around IDR 14.5 billion. This meant that he said that around Rp. 2.5 billion had been used. In addition, he said, in the first revenue, Rp. 12 billion minus Rp. 8.2 billion, so there is a difference of Rp. 3.8 billion.
