KPK Explores Information on Ahmad Sahroni’s Alleged Corruption

Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) will explore the information provided by the legal counsel Adam Deni related to the alleged corruption of the Deputy Chair of Commission III of the DPR from the NasDem . faction Ahmad Sahroni.

Acting (Plt) KPK Spokesperson, Ali Fikri said his party had received the file and would proceed with verification.

“KPK has received the report. Next, it will be verified and studied to find out in more detail whether the complaint submitted is a corruption crime and is also within the authority of the KPK to follow up,” said Ali when confirmed, Thursday (7/4).

Ali said the KPK appreciates the complaint from Adam Deni. According to him, what Adam Deni did was one of the efforts to support the eradication of corruption.

“KPK appreciates various parties who have always been persistent in supporting efforts to eradicate corruption,” he said.

Previously, a social media activist, Adam Deni, conveyed information through his legal counsel regarding the alleged corruption committed by the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ahmad Sahroni to the KPK.

The information on the alleged corruption was related to the purchase of Ahmad Sahroni’s bicycle, which Adam Deni had revealed on his social media.

“We received a power of attorney from our client Adam Deni, who is now a defendant. Then, why do I say that we are not here to report, but to provide information, regarding alleged criminal acts of corruption,” said Adam Deni’s attorney, Herwanto, Tuesday. (5/4).

Herwanto said that the submission of information to the KPK was related to the case involving Adam Deni. Adam Deni is currently undergoing the trial process in the alleged case of distributing personal documents without permission.

Previously, Adam Deni and Ni Made Dwita Anggari were charged with violating Article 48 Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 32 Paragraph (3) Law (UU) No. 11 of 2008 as amended and added to Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. ITE) in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code
As well as the indictment of subsidiaries Article 48 paragraph (1) jo Article 32 of the ITE Law jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

This case relates to the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives in charge of law, Ahmad Sahroni. It was Sahroni’s personal document that Adam uploaded to social media without permission.
