KPK Deputy for Enforcement Karyoto was reported to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) regarding the investigation into the alleged corruption case Formula E DKI Jakarta. Karyoto admitted that he did not question the report.
“I was accused, I was reported by an NGO. Just go back to the Dewas, how will the proof process be later,” said Karyoto at the KPK building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday (25/1/2023).
Karyoto said he would be cooperative with his reporting to the Dewas. He also admitted that he was ready if he later began to undergo examination as the reported party.
“As the object being inspected, I will obey. If we start being examined, there will be no problem,” said Karyoto.
Karyoto and Director of Investigation Endar Priantoro were previously reported to the KPK Board of Trustees. The report is related to the investigation into the alleged Formula E corruption case being carried out by the KPK.
“Yes, that’s true,” said a member of the Dewas, Syamsuddin Haris, when asked to confirm the reporting on Endar and Karyoto, Tuesday (24/1).
Syamsuddin did not explain who the reporting party was. He also hasn’t explained in detail what alleged violations were reported to the KPK Board of Trustees.
“Studying,” he said.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is indeed conducting an investigation into the alleged corruption case in Formula E Jakarta. A number of witnesses have been summoned for questioning. There are no suspects in this case yet.
Head of KPK Reporting Unit Ali Fikri said that his party had exposed or held cases related to Formula E to add to the adequacy of evidence in this case. According to him, the title of the case has been done many times.
“(Exposed) many times. And at this time it is still in the process of investigation because it continues to complete, continues to look for clues to evidence of alleged criminal activity,” said Ali Fikri when asked for confirmation, Tuesday (27/12/2022) .
