KPGA President Applauds Lim Seong-jae and Korean Players’ Success on PGA Tour

The PGA Playoff Tour Championship (total prize money of $75 million) will be held at East Lake GC (par 70) in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from the 25th (Korean time).

The Tour Championship is a tournament in the nature of a ‘King of Kings’ competition in which only the top 30 FedEx Cup points participate.

Kim Joo-hyung ranked 16th in the FedEx Cup rankings, Lim Seong-jae ranked 17th, and Kim Si-woo ranked 20th to qualify for the tournament.

Im Seong-jae joined the KPGA Tour Pro in 2015, Kim Si-woo in 2013, and Kim Joo-hyung in 2020.

In particular, Im Seong-jae also played on the second part tour, the ‘Challenge Tour’ in 2015. That year, he won the 12th edition of the Challenge Tour. After that, he debuted on the regular tour in 2016 through the ‘KPGA Korean Tour QT’ and played an active role for two years.

Kim Joo-hyung won two wins on the KPGA Korean Tour from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, he won the Genesis Grand Prize and prize money king.

Chairman Koo Ja-cheol praised Kim Joo-hyung three years ago, saying that it was like seeing Choi Kyung-joo in the past.

Kim Si-woo has experience participating in KPGA Korean Tour stages such as Choi Kyung-ju Invitational and Shinhan Donghae Open.
