Muscat: Oman has decided to re-impose a travel ban after a new variant of the Kovidi was reported in various countries. The Supreme Committee on Monday decided to close the land, air and naval borders for a week from Tuesday, December 22. The travel ban will take effect from 1 a.m. Tuesday. After a week, the situation will be assessed and further action will be taken. Saudi Arabia has also closed its borders for a week in the wake of the coup.
