Koutsouba’s letter to Tassoula: “Let the decision of the Supreme Court come to the Parliament and the Institutions Committee be convened” – 2024-08-01 14:22:51

A letter to the Speaker of the Parliament was sent by the Prime Minister. of the KKE, requesting the transmission of the Supreme Court’s decision to the Parliament and the immediate convening of the Committee on Institutions and Transparency “in order to thoroughly discuss and examine all the facts of the case”.

Dimitris Koutsoubas’ letter to Kostas Tassoulas in detail:

“President of the Hellenic Parliament

Mr. Konstantinos Tasoula

President of the Special Standing Committee on Institutions and Transparency

Mr. Athanasios Bura

The issuance of the Conclusion and the announcement of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court on the wiretapping case raises very serious questions about the investigation that was carried out, the evidence on which it was based and finally about the validity of the conclusions reached. It is a very serious development that points to a cover-up of government and state responsibilities for this foul affair.

It highlights, once again, the existence of a reactionary and dangerous institutional framework, which enables state agencies, but also other circles, to proceed with “legal” and illegal connections – based on the doctrine “no one is exempt from surveillance” – which remain in the “darkness” and ultimately in the fireproof.

We remind you that the outcome was similar in the case of wiretapping at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the KKE.

The limits of the “independence of the judiciary”, whose leadership is appointed by the respective government, are also highlighted.

Following the above, the KKE requests the transmission to parliament of the Supreme Court’s Decision, the details of the relevant case file and the immediate convening of the Institutions and Transparency Committee, in order to discuss and thoroughly examine all the facts of the case”.
