According to party information, at the last meeting of the Political Secretariat, the director Christos Mavrokephalidis was authorized by the members of the body as the person in charge of the party, after opinions requested from competent law firms, in order to settle all outstanding matters.
Therefore, when he was called by Stefanos Kasselakis and asked him “who is responsible?”, Mr. Mavrokephalidis answered “me”, essentially denying the claims of the former leadership.
Previously, leaks from the Kasselakis side claimed that Christos Mavrokephalidis told Stefanos Kasselakis that he retains the responsibilities of the president even after the censure, unless he signs a power of attorney.
Extraordinary meeting
After the above, but also the information (which is officially denied) that Stefanos Kasselakis wanted to enter the office of the president on the 7th floor of Koumoundourou, the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA.
The secretary of the party, Rania Svigou, is expected to inform the members of the Body about what has been done, written and leaked since the meeting of the Central Committee until today.
Also, specific decisions are expected to be made in the period until the congress and the elections.
About 8-9 people, supporters of Stefanos Kasselakis, before the start of the meeting gathered opposite the Koumoundourou building, and addressed insults to his internal party opponents.
