It was a question of edifying them on their rights.

Informing the surviving spouse and orphans on inheritance issues was the objective of these meetings between widows, orphans and Minister of State Blaise Louembe.

Indeed, the phenomenon of the spoliation of widows and orphans is one of the points that holds the attention of the government, and which the First Lady has made her hobbyhorse.

‘’I enlightened families, and particularly women, on their rights and duties in relation to successions. Widows, widowers and orphans who are frequently despoiled, must master the legal tools to better defend themselves in the context of an inheritance. The surviving spouse and orphans must be able to create and monitor their inheritance files themselves”, the government member said.

The participants, satisfied with these remarks, promised to update their documentary funds, to support the action of the First Lady and especially that of the President of the Republic, guarantor of family stability.
