Kottayam Marthomman Heritage Sangam: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan to Inaugurate Conference Today

Kottayam ∙ Marthomman Heritage Sangam organized by Orthodox Church to commemorate Malankara Nasrani heritage and tradition today in Kottayam. Rest and other facilities have been provided for them in the MD seminary grounds. Only physically challenged people will reach the main stage directly to participate in the rally. Kottayam MD The faithful who arrive at the seminary will be lined up on a staggered basis in the grounds of Baselios College and in the yard of Mar Elia Cathedral. Believers will line up in the rally on the basis of Bhadrasana.

Thomas Chazhikadan MP will flag off the Marthomman heritage procession at MD Seminary ground at 3 pm. Musical ensembles and Nasrani art forms will be performed. The rally will take a turn from Central Junction via KK Road and enter Nehru Stadium via Shastri Road – Kuryan Uthup Road. The 300-member choir, which includes priests, priest students and lay people, is led by Fr. MP George Korepiscopa will lead the singing.

The procession reached St. George’s Orthodox Church, Pudupally and from there it reached the Nehru Stadium along with the flag-carrying procession. ∙ Large vehicles coming from the north should drop their passengers at Kottayam Baker Junction and park at Old Seminary. Those coming further should be dropped off at Nagampadam and parked at Nagampadam temple grounds and SH Mount School.

∙ The first vehicles coming from the south should take a U-turn from Kottayam-Manipuzha Junction and take the Eirailkadav bypass to drop off at Eirailkadav and park on the roadside. Those who come further should park on the road side of Kodimata Market.

∙ Vehicles coming from the East should park at Kanjikuzhi opposite the East Police Station. The following vehicles should drop the person near the Collectorate and pass near the police parade ground to reach Kanjikuzhi and park at Devalokam Mar Baselios Public School grounds.

Small vehicles

Parking should be done at Kottayam Kuryan Uthup Road at Indoor Stadium, Swargeeavidu Maidan, MT Seminary School and MD Seminary School Maidan.
