Köthen – Has he had a drink before or just sipped once after he went shopping. It remains his secret. In any case, the weekend sale for a 55-year-old car driver on Friday definitely didn’t end the way he had imagined.
As reported by the Anhalt-Bitterfeld police station, the 55-year-old drove his VW car into the parking lot of a supermarket on Edderitzer Strasse in Köthen around 6:10 p.m. on Friday. When a 54-year-old man also reversed out of his parking space with a VW car, the two vehicles collided. Perhaps the 54-year-old was responsible for the accident.
But when the accident was recorded, the police officers noticed the smell of alcohol in the 55-year-old. The following procedure in such a case is known: A provisional breath alcohol test resulted in a value of 0.81 per mil. Accordingly, a blood sample was taken and a procedure according to §315c StGB initiated. The vehicles suffered total damage of around 3,000 euros.
