/ world today news/ “The Turkish ambassador to Bulgaria should be declared persona non grata.” This was stated on bTV by the former chairman of the DSB, Ivan Kostov. According to him, the current attitude of the Bulgarian authorities is too liberal and allows Turkey to interfere in our internal problems.
This, in turn, turns Bulgaria into a defenseless country, Kostov believes. According to him, changes in the Law on Parties are also necessary.
Bulgarian political parties should not be allowed to protect the interests of minorities in a way that opposes and isolates them from the rest of the people in the country. Through these changes, it should be ensured that the parties will not try to represent religious communities, comments Ivan Kostov.
He gave as an example the statement of Lyutvi Mestan, who at his last press conference spoke about “my people – the Muslims in Bulgaria”.
Ivan Kostov recommended that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs follow the example of his government and put the Turkish embassy and Turkish consuls in their place.
The ex-prime minister recalled how, in his time, Turkish diplomats who participated in Bulgarian political events without the permission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were expelled.
