Kostadin Pascalev: Dear comrades, hardly anyone doubted that I will not say what I think and I will behave like a mouse. For this reason, I think that after the whole process described by comrade Cornelia Ninova, I feel obliged to introduce some nuanceswhich, in my opinion, are very essential.

The new leadership of the BSP proclaimed its ideas for uniting the intellect of the party’s members and experts, for forming our principles and priorities, and alternatives to today’s government. The struggle for people’s trust and the opening of the party to the outside. Not looking for the enemy with a party ticket. Honesty in front of ourselves and people in order to ask for their trust. For the BSP to become a party of morality, of principles, of consistency, of dialogue. And in order to achieve this, the BSP is obliged to clear itself before going before the voters, to remain in the opposition, to become a real alternative to the government. People should be free from addictions.

And indeed – the BSP went up. Because these are people’s expectations and their desire to see an alternative.

We conducted a survey on the form of participation in the presidential elections, successfully, and undoubtedly with a mobilizing effect.

We held municipal party conferences for nominations, we know the statistics, they were shared. We started negotiations with ABV, Dvizhenie 21 and VMRO.

But! The ego of the leaders of these partiesformal and informal leaders, and their struggle to control the BSPfor what purpose is not clear to me, is realized in a public scandal.

And again we went, in my opinion, down, I will dare to say it – due to the lack of morals, principles and consistency.

What is the result of the scandal?

With the qualifications used in the media, and in the Executive Bureau, for his like-minded and comrades, The BSP gave proof of its level of morale. The party structures and the people in them felt used, with which the BSP gives reason to party members to think that there is a backroom. We replaced the “principled” with the “personal”and so we did not live up to the people’s trust. We admitted unworthy settlement of accountswith or without management support. This led to until the removal of one of our candidatesand from there, in my opinion, and to almost everyone. I have no explanation, really I have no explanation why the real, frank dialogue in IB was replaced by public qualifications and publicationsto motivate a decision.

I do not accept this approach!

I also do not accept the imposition of decisions and the settlement of intra-party relations in this way.

That’s why I resigned.

There is no force that would make me work in such conditions! Because – many people have commented on my morality. I have one, my own. I want to stay aware of myself. However, I want to thank the party and its structures in Blagoevgrad and Haskovo for their work in the last 2 months. Because they really proved that they are able to get the party back on its feet.

And I will make one clarification – I am the only one in the party who said a few good words about General Radev and I am the only one who sincerely told Maya Manolova that she is not suitable for this campaign.

And that’s why I don’t allow anyone to put me in groups.

But I have one huge concern – if the bureau and NA goes down the path of insinceritywe take a chance to lose ourselves in the presidential campaign, and even worse, to fail in the next parliamentary elections.
