KV Kortrijk and Eupen were stuck on a goalless draw. Kortrijk lacked attack impulses and was fortunate that Eupen lacked efficiency. With the draw, both teams make little progress.

The black beast came to visit the Guldensporen stadium with Eupen. Already in 2010 it had been ago that Kortrijk could win again at home against the Oostkantonners. Vanderhaeghe was wary and presented the same 5-3-2 line-up as against Gent, Gueye replaced the injured Moffi.
Eupen controlled from the first minute, patiently tapping the ball around in anticipation of an opening. For a real chance it was waiting for Ndri to lash out from 25 meters. Jakubech went flat well, in the repeat Musona’s attempt was blocked.
He immediately got a second chance. Musona positioned himself behind the ball after Van der Bruggen Nahu had hooked just before the box. He curled the leather to the top left corner, but Jakubech stood out with a fine save. Kortrijk did nothing in return.
The game was far too slow, with no change of tempo. The organization was there, but the home team mainly gave risk-free lateral balls. There was no single point of contact in the front.
Twice the pole
The same game image in the second half. Ndoy got two chances in as many minutes and hit the post. Ndri then pushed on from the right, pulled the ball back to Nuhu, Dewaele was just able to deflect his shot. At Kortrijk there was a good combination between Selemani, Ajagun and Mboyo, the latter was unable to finish.
With Vazquez and Adriano, two beautiful names signed in Eupen, but the team still misses a goal scorer. That became painfully clear when substitute Koné missed the winning goal five minutes before the end. It really didn’t work out for Eupen, because Embalo’s attempt also hit the post. Kortrijk narrowly escaped, thanks to the pole and Jakubech’s excellent rescues.
