Just before the weekend, coronary heart disease was detected in a child at Øvre Rindal kindergarten.
This is stated by Rindal municipality in a press release.
The child tested positive for corona on a rapid test, and it is believed that the infection originated from a trip outside the region.
Employees and parents at the kindergarten have been notified of the situation. Quick tests of close contacts have been performed, and they are so far negative.
– In order to delimit and prevent further spread, testing and quarantine of possible close contacts has been carried out widely, says municipal chief physician Mari Wold.
Responses to PCR tests are expected Monday night.
Due to the corona infection, Øvre Rindal kindergarten is closed on Monday 13 December
– As it can not yet be ruled out that there is an infection of the omicron variant, the kindergarten will be closed on Monday 13 December. This is in accordance with the Infection Control Act and the omikron regulations, the municipality writes.
