Although they missed out on the gold medal, the women’s compound archery team gave South Korea a precious bronze medal.
In the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games archery compound women’s team bronze medal match held at the Fuyang Inhu Sports Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on the 5th, Korea won the bronze medal by defeating Indonesia 232-229. South Korea unfortunately lost to Taiwan 224-230 in the semifinals.
So Chae-won (Hyundai Mobis) said in a post-game interview, “I was a little disappointed in the semifinals,” and “Going into the bronze medal match, I thought, let’s do our best at the moment.” Chae-won So also explained, “By the time the semifinals were over, the score had already increased significantly,” and, “The captain, Yoo Hyeon, told me to do my best until the next game, so I think I recovered during the bronze medal match.”
