Korean women’s archery, which has always been the best in the world, is shocking by not winning a medal at the World Championships for the first time in 44 years.
Reporter Kang Jae-hoon reports.

The women’s individual event, in which all three of our players reached the quarterfinals.
Ansan, who won three Olympic gold medals for the first time in archery history, became the first victim of the incident.
After dropping two sets first against 19-year-old Casey Coffold of the United States, she played a close match to the fifth set.
However, the set score was 6-4, and the come-from-behind victory was unsuccessful.
The eldest sister Kang Chae-young, who also participated, was also caught by the Japanese player, who is only 25th in the world rankings.
The youngest member Im Si-hyun, who previously won the gold medal in the mixed match with Kim Woo-jin, also disappointed.
In the end, all three players failed to reach the semifinals due to a complete defeat by an unknown Czech player.
It is another shock after losing to Indonesia in the round of 16 in the team event.
It has been 44 years since the world’s strongest Korean women’s recurve team failed to win a single medal in the individual and team world championships.
Since they failed to win the right to participate in the Paris Olympics, which is given up to 3rd place in each event, they have to try again at the Asian Championships in November.
The men’s recurve national team won a gold medal in the team event, but just like the women’s team, they only had no medals in the individual event.
