Recently, due to the blockage of sales and the increase in water temperature, a large number of grouper fish in many farms in South Korea have died, which has aroused widespread concern.
Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do, South Korea is one of the hardest-hit places in this grouper mass death. Affected by the discharge of Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the sea, the grouper could not be sold, and could not be shipped normally on time. Coupled with the rise in water temperature, collective deaths occurred. According to statistics, more than 1 million fish have died in Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province alone, which is equivalent to more than 20% of the total breeding here, and the loss amount is about 84 million yuan.
According to the 2024 fiscal budget announced by the South Korean government on August 29 local time, in order to deal with the discharge of Japanese nuclear polluted water into the sea, the government prepared a related budget of 738 billion won, or about 4.071 billion yuan, an increase of about 40% compared with this fiscal year. Among them, the budget for testing the concentration of radioactive substances in sea areas and aquatic products amounted to 57.6 billion won. (Produced by Qi Yiling)
