According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 11th, an 8-year-old Korean child was kidnapped from a residential area in Cebu, Philippines the day before and was rescued in 7 hours.
It turns out that a man in his 30s kidnapped the child by putting it in a large suitcase.
The assailant took the bag and drove several hundred meters from the parking lot before vanishing. This scene was all captured on closed-circuit television.
The Korean residents notified the Korean Embassy of the kidnapping of the child and the number of the vehicle used in the crime.
Upon receiving this information, the diplomat immediately coordinated with the local police to find the vehicle.
The local police arrested the culprit around 8 pm, seven hours after the crime, and rescued the child safely.
The victim was said to be in a state of shock and is being treated in a hospital.
