Gaza, a region devastated by Israeli military attacks resulting in numerous casualties, including children, has become the center of blame as North Korea’s state media, Rodong Sinmun, accuses Israel of causing the bloodshed. The conflict between Palestinian militant group Hamas and the Israeli military has been ongoing since Saturday, October 7.
Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israel on Saturday, resulting in hundreds of deaths. In retaliation, Israel besieged and bombarded Gaza, which is under Hamas control. The war between Israel and Hamas continues to this day, October 12. Rodong Sinmun has published a brief article about the conflict and the casualties resulting from the mutual attacks.
“The international community claims that this clash is a result of Israel’s continuous criminal actions against the Palestinian people, and the fundamental solution is to build an independent Palestinian state,” stated Rodong Sinmun on Tuesday, October 10.
The violence has claimed the lives of over 1,500 people from both Israel and Palestine. This has prompted international support for Israel and calls to end the fighting and protect civilians following the sudden large-scale attack by Hamas over the weekend.
According to Reuters, Hamas has threatened to execute an Israeli prisoner every time the Zionist state bombs Palestinian homes without warning. Concerns have also arisen about a potential ground invasion by Israel, which could deploy 300,000 reserve soldiers and impose a blockade on Gaza.
North Korean state media often opposes Western views, particularly those of the United States, regarding international issues.
On Monday, October 9, Rodong Sinmun condemned the “enemy forces inside and outside Syria” in relation to recent drone attacks that caused numerous casualties in Syria. The media outlet also referred to it as a terrorist attempt to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

How has Ren become a subject of blame-shifting between North Korea and Israel?
Ren, has become a subject of blame-shifting as North Korea points fingers at Israel.
It’s disheartening how conflicts in one part of the world can be attributed to another, causing even more tension and suffering.
The blame game only perpetuates further violence and division. It’s important for all parties involved to work towards peaceful solutions instead of pointing fingers.
