(Jinju = Yonhap News) Reporter Ji Seong-ho = Korea South-East Power unveiled a bird’s-eye view of’Daegu Natural Gas Power Plant and Complex Cultural Space’, a national project with a project cost of 1.7 trillion won, which is being promoted to the National Industrial Complex in Dalseong-gun, Daegu City.
Korea South-East Power said on the day that “to build an eco-friendly natural gas power plant in Daegu, we plan to apply a specialized landscape design for the first time in Korea and create an open complex cultural space for local residents.”
This landscape design, which incorporates a new paradigm, is in charge of the’Space Architects’ Office.
An official from this office explained the design intention, “using the ridgeline of Biseulsan in Dalseong-gun as a motif, we innovatively applied a nature-friendly streamlined landscape that goes beyond the preconceptions of plant architecture.”
A large complex cultural space that is three times the size of a soccer field open to local residents also attracts attention.
The theme park-level space has been constructed with four themes: a cultural center, art & ecological park, camping and picnic, a large water playground, a four-season sledding, park golf and various stadiums.
Landscape design and complex cultural spaces are planned to be materialized in a better direction by actively collecting opinions from residents.
Hyang-Yeol Yoo, President of Korea South-East Power, said, “Through a large-scale national project, we will be able to greatly contribute to the advancement of Dalseong-gun, Daegu City into a high-tech convergence center, as a pick-up point for revitalizing the Daegu National Industrial Complex and revitalizing the local economy that was contracted in the Corona 19 situation.” said.
