Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto face the representative of Malaysia, Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi in the quarterfinals Korea Open 2022. Fajar/Rian won two straight games!
The match took place at Palma Stadium, Suncheon, Korea, Friday (8/4/2022) afternoon WIB. Dawn/Rian won two straight games with tight scores, 21-19 and 22-20.
The first game starts, Ong/Teo immediately step on the gas. They kept the lead from 3-6 until they continued to maintain a three to five point lead until finally closing the first interval 11-6.
After the interval, Dawn/Rian try to catch up. They stuck until the score was 13-14 and then leveled the position at 15-15, continuing to heat up to 19-19.
The first game was finally won by Fajar/Rian with a score of 21-19. Sweet comeback!
In the second gym, the score was tight in the beginning 5-5. Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto finally able to lead 8-5 but lost narrowly at the second interval 10-11.
Ong Yew Sin / Teo Ee Yi get up after the interval and hold control. They alternately turned 12-10.
A score romp then ensued. Fajar / Rian do not want the Malaysian pair to have the upper hand and equalize 16-16.
The score continued to be tight until 18-18 and even up to 20-20, after Fajar/Rian equalized! Dawn/Rian finally finished the tight match Ong Yew Sin / Teo Ee Yi, 22-20.
