Korea International Trade Association holds ‘Paris K-Product Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition’ in France

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA, Chairman Jinsik Yoon) held the ‘2024 Paris K-Product Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition’ at the Palais Brongiart in Paris, France for two days from the 29th to the 30th.

‘2024 France K’ is held by four government ministries, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, as well as five organizations including the Korea International Trade Association and the Korea Creative Content Agency, to support the overseas expansion of Korean content and consumer goods companies. In this event, which was planned in conjunction with the ‘Fair’, 25 domestic cosmetics, food, and household goods companies with high marketability in Europe participated and consulted with 67 buyers from 9 countries pre-matched by the Korea International Trade Association, worth a total of 26.2 million dollars. 390 The case proceeded.

Joseph Kim, manager of Genie the Bottle, a cosmetics company based on natural ingredients, who participated in the event, said, “As proof of the high interest in Korean cosmetics, we held consultations with 20 buyers over two days without a lunch break.” He added, “Especially large European companies that small and medium-sized companies cannot meet on their own. “We expect that we will have the opportunity to consult with distribution buyers and that we will be successful in entering the French and European markets in the future,” he said.

During the event, tangible results were also achieved, such as a contract worth a total of $1.2 million being signed on site. ‘Korea B&C Co., Ltd.’, a vegan certified cosmetics manufacturer, signed a contract worth $1 million with a French cosmetics distribution company on the 29th, the first day of the consultation. In addition, ‘Wizchem’, a manufacturer of anti-aging functional cosmetics, signed an on-site export contract worth $200,000 with a Dubai distribution company.

In order to generate follow-up results from the consumer goods exhibition, the association met with Galeries Lafayette, a French department store, and discussed ways to cooperate to introduce Korean consumer goods to more European consumers.

Vice President Lee In-ho of the Korea International Trade Association said, “The popularity of Korean culture has sparked a fuse, and the interest of consumers around the world in Korean products is higher than ever before.” He added, “The Korea International Trade Association will utilize this momentum to promote Korean consumer goods in the global market.” “To expand our presence, we plan to expand the ‘K-Product Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition’ held in Paris, Jakarta, and Ho Chi Minh City.”
