Korea Dominates the Hangzhou Asian Games with Five Gold Medals in Swimming, Fencing, and Gymnastics

Yesterday, the fifth day of the Hangzhou Asian Games, Korea won five gold medals in swimming, fencing, and gymnastics.

Today, the day of Chuseok, Kim Woo-min of swimming will win three gold medals in the competition, and the e-sports League of Legends team will also attempt to win a gold medal.

Although it was a race that required swimming over a long distance of 800m, Kim Woo-min started with a strong spurt from the beginning.

With his overwhelming performance, he broke a new Korean record and a new competition record, winning his second gold medal at the competition.

Kim Woo-min, who took first place in today’s 400m freestyle preliminaries, will soon challenge for three gold medals in the competition.

The first ever gold medal was also won in the men’s butterfly event at the Asian Games.

The men’s 50m butterfly final was held yesterday.

Baek In-cheol was the first to touch the pad in 23.29 seconds and set a new Korean and competition record.

The men’s fencing saber team defeated the host country, China, in the finals of the team event and won the competition for the third time in a row.

Men’s gymnastics veteran Kim Han-sol won gold in the floor exercise and reached the top spot for the second time in a row.

Shin Jae-hwan, the vault champion at the Tokyo Olympics, fell in fourth place due to a landing error and failed to hunt for the gold medal.

The League of Legends national team advanced to the finals by defeating China, a strong contender for the title, and will challenge for the gold medal against Taiwan at 8 o’clock later.
