On the other hand, China’s largest portal “Baidu” and the Chinese version of Twitter “Weibo” have been inundated with criticism of South Korea’s quarantine policy.
The so-called “NO Korea” is spreading on Weibo which says: “I will not go (to Korea) or buy anything”. Users said, “If South Korea doesn’t welcome Chinese tourists, we shouldn’t go to South Korea.” I didn’t think it would happen like this.
Regarding the South Korean government’s strengthening of epidemic prevention measures, Wang Wenbin, deputy spokesman for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “Every country’s epidemic prevention measures should be scientific and should not be excessive. It will affect normal trade and personnel exchanges. It shouldn’t,” he says.
