Korea arrests 2 Vietnamese flight attendants suspected of transporting cannabis essential oil

Two flight attendants are suspected of hiding liquid cannabis (cannabis essential oil) worth 300 million won (more than 5.4 billion dong) in cosmetic boxes and bringing it into Korea from April 2023.

During the investigation, the two flight attendants denied the allegations, saying that they were completely unaware of the marijuana inside and only brought it because they were hired to deliver cosmetics to Korea. The amount of money they receive when delivering the goods is about 68,000 won (more than 1.2 million dong).

Korean police said that in addition to the two female flight attendants, two other flight attendants are also suspected, but these two flight attendants have not entered Korea since their colleagues were arrested.

Police say they will continue to monitor the remaining two flight attendants and expand their investigation to determine if there are any more suspects.
