Kora Winter: God Bless, God Forbid Album and Tour Announcement

Kora Winter

With grillz, bandaged face and devil horns, singer Haxan grins from the current Kora Winter album cover. The band called it “God Bless, God Forbid” – and wanted to, among other things, make the perspective of a migrant visible in the German heavy scene.

Shortly before the album is released in November, the Berlin band is starting their concert tour – armed with lots of new material to spark mosh pits on the one hand, but also to stimulate thought on the other.

Inspired by bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Kora Winter have been forging an idiosyncratic musical mix of post hardcore, mathcore, alternative and more extreme varieties of metal since the mid-2010s – with concise German lyrics from a screamer who also produces pretty dark rap music. They like to describe the result as a “turbo state on steroids”.

Anyone who comes to one of the shows can be sure of having a memorable evening. It doesn’t matter whether you jump straight into the pit and roar along or just enjoy the music as a cathartic experience. God bless Kora Winter. God forbid live music.

The concert in Berlin on December 1st acts as the official release show for the new album “God Bless, God Be Preserve”. The band thought of something very special for this: friendly acts from completely different areas expand the genre spectrum. And following Kora Winter’s headlining performance, the party continues late into the night with a rave and four DJ sets.
